The CRIMSON EYE of the Heavenly Principles (Genshin Impact 5.3 Lore, Theory, and Speculation)

Показать описание
I just want to talk about Ronova, the shade of death, and the Heavenly Principles. And Crimson eyes. And Natlan and Khaenri’ah and maybe Capitano and the cataclysm. Kaeya is somehow here too (as usual). Also apropos of nothing, long live the Vinster King, Irmin.

Silly note I thought I’d put here: Kaeya’s elemental burst line is “this moment will be frozen in time!” and in Chinese the literal translation is “this moment, will be your eternity!”

Found it funny considering you mentioned eternity.

Also of note is Citlali's vision story, describing how she got (or will get?) her ancient name: Ukumbuko, "Memory."
And, of course, that notorious 1.1 event where meteorites full of memories fell from the sky, and only Fischl knew how to lead the investigation.

I think equating the entirety of Genshin to a computer is the closest analogy we can get to better understanding it. Everything stored on the hard drive (Irminsul) is data (memories). That data takes on many different forms (laws, stories, images, people, elements, etc.). Teyvat is just a massive program, with a ton of subprocesses (people). As a program, it has a set line of code that every part of it must follow (fate). When a program ends (person dies) they are not gone, their code remains within the hard drive. But if when a program ends (person dies) and their program is deleted (isn't stored in Irminsul) then they are completely forgotten. The gods, elements, dragons, etc. could be considered to be more powerful lines of code within the program, with a lot of data behind them, and the ability to manipulate the program within certain constraints. The Four Shades of the Heavenly Principles could, theoretically, be four witness programs that enact exact rules over how the program operates by the person who is running the program: the Primordial One.

I'm sure that when we arrive to Celestia we'll meet 5 star patch-less Kaeya it will be a plus if he also has the horses that Varka stole from him

..."Red" is the foundational principle, the philosopher's stone, while "yellow" represents gold and mortal temptation. Yellow is simply bait. Red is the final goal. However, Khaenri'ah would likely seek the truth for gold's sake before turning that truth into a bread production pipeline...

I'm going off the rails here, but stick with me. You talked about that red color, the crimson eye, the baleful moon. That red color we never see associated with the Abyss. It always seems to come back to the Shades, the Sustainer, Crimson Moon Khaenriah, and now references to the Primordial One. We never, EVER see that color associated with the Abyss.
But you know where we do see that shade of red? Trying to EAT US in the Chasm quest with Yelan, Xiao and Itto. It was trying to hold us prisoner there. We had to fall down, under the chasm, into a timely wimey space zone. I know a lot of us ASSUMED it was part of the abyss, but there was no star imagery and no blue. Just the red. What if that time space zone was another Night Kingdom/Enkonomiya like space, and that red shadow was another Shade, or even the PO itself, trying to eat up enough life to awaken? What does that mean about the true nature of the PO, if it's shades want to eat us, our time and our memory?

It should also be said.

The heavenly principles is represented as a giant eye with hands in the manga, which not many people talk about.

When Paimon first asks about Ronova's eye in the sky, the voiced question refers to it as: "weird thing up there"

But the subtitles are different, and it reads as: "weird ball" instead.

I wonder which is more accurate to the original sentence in CN.
Is it actually called a ball? Or not

Oh, Roosevelt! There's an interesting tidbit from Fischl's story quest in Immernachtreich Apokalypse which makes sense with the bit you've presented about what Tasraque did to her - it's where the holy book describes her defeating the evil dragon, and TWICE we're 'coincidentally' interrupted by a crow named Leon that was calling for help (I believe it was in part 2 and 3). It sounds like her encounter did something to her, almost sounding like she was corrupted.

Watching this makes me really think that Hoyo will add actual Fischl as a 5 star character someday. Imagine Amy meeting the one she's cosplaying lol
Also! Your Kaeya glazing is always amusing to see. Someday all his secrets will spill and we all will lose our minds. Every video of yours just keeps me sane until the day Hoyo does that

I've been going crazy about Tasraque being a banned saurian name for months, I'm happy you brought it up just so more people are aware... even if it ultimately ends up not amounting to much. Another great video as always.

my original headcannon fresh off the archon quest was that Khaenri'ah revered Ronova during the Crimson Moon dynasty sort of how Enka revered Istaroth. then the Eclipse dynasty took over and was like "yeah, we're done with this god stuff". the whole ritual at the orphanage revolving around "death" in some way and that invoking the red moon with the eye in Perinheri seems like too much of a coincidence to not be intentional.

Narzissenrkeuz' large hydro tulpa form also has a crimson eye! He was trying to become a descender, so it seems that he might have been imitating the First Descender like Ei was...

0:57 Not super important but i think the exact wording in CN might change the meaning of what Citlali says a bit. In CN, she says:
我想那就是死之执政观察提瓦特的方式...
I think that's how the Archon of Death sees/views Teyvat...
The original wording just makes it sound much more as if they eye is literally Ronova's eye
(Also, yeah, Ruler in CN actually uses the same text as Archons it seems)
