Started Victoza today … fingers crossed 🤞 going to stop snacking and change my diet. Update I started at 220 and I’m at 209 day 5, day 6 208. Side effects have been nausea to the max. Update after week four I stopped because I had some pretty bad side effects (more gross like diarrhea for four days straight even after only eating healthy. That caused me not to want to eat at all). I started back up yesterday after talking with my provider and going to stay at .6 for two weeks instead of one before moving up to 1.2🙌🏻

Hi! I just wanted to say that I am currently taking Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes and I am absolutely loving the weight loss side effect. My sugar levels are all in range, I feel much better, and I've lost a total of 33 lbs in around 3 months time or less. I'm currently on the 0.5mg dosage so there's still room to go up if needed. I have been able to completely cut out my glipizide and only only take my metformin once a day now. Its been a lifesaver for me, literally!

I have been using Saxenda for about 6 months now and I have lost 22kg (48 pounds). Im happy with the results. I do see people using Ozempic and having lost way more kg than me, however in my opinion I would recommend people to chose Saxenda over Ozempic.

Not only is Saxenda the only drug that is internationally approved for weight loss, the side effects definitly are way less than that of Ozempic. Ozempic might help lose weight more fast, but that is the problem I didnt want to have. Losing weight too fast, makes it for me personally harder to make sure I don’t gain the weight back. With Saxenda it def helps to lose weight, but you got to work a little harder. Its not a drug you want to take for the rest of your life, so making lifelong changed is way more achievable with Saxenda than with Ozempic. Just my opinion.

Off label use is exactly why there’s a worldwide shortage of Ozempic/Trulicity right now!

TLDR: Victoza, Ozempic, and Rybelsus are diabetes medications with weight loss effects, and while not yet approved in Canada for obesity, they are effective for weight loss and can be compared to Saxenda.

00:00 💊 Victoza, Ozempic, and Rybelsus are diabetes medications with weight loss effects, not yet approved in Canada for obesity, but still effective, and compared to Saxenda for weight loss.
00:54 💊 Ozempic and Rybelsus are similar drugs that treat diabetes by mimicking the effects of a hormone, leading to appetite suppression and potential weight loss.
01:39 💊 All weight loss drugs have similar side effects, with nausea being the most common, and rare but serious side effects such as liver or pancreas damage. Rybelsus is the only oral pill, while the others require self-injection.
02:15 💊 Victoza, Saxenda, Ozempic, and Rybelsus all have injection-related side effects, with differences in dosage, administration, and availability.
03:08 💊 Saxenda is the only weight loss drug, while the others are for diabetes control, but can still be used for weight loss, with Saxenda being the most expensive and not often covered by insurance.
03:52 💊 Semaglutide may cause more weight loss than liraglutide, making Ozempic and Rybelsus equally effective, and Saxenda more effective than Victoza, but switching between them may not work if one is ineffective.
05:03 💡 Ozempic, Saxenda, and Victoza may be useful for controlling hunger and aiding weight loss, with Saxenda being the only one approved for weight loss alone.
05:39 💡 Rybelsus may be easier to get and only needs to be injected once a week, but it's important to discuss with your doctor and remember to maintain good diet and lifestyle habits for weight loss.

Ozempic is very good for treating atrial fibrilation, even though not indicated. My Afib has reduced a minimum of 90% and way less severe symptoms when happening. Your doctor doesn't know this but I know from own experiences. (I never took it to reduce weight and don't have diabetes). I take 0, 5 mg Ozempic weekly and my afib is rare now (daily before).

I started Ozempic on 07/12/21 and so far I have lost 17 lbs. My blood sugar has definitely improved as well.

I used mounjaro but it only worked at the higher dose .5 but since I don’t have type 2 diabetes I can’t get it anymore. So I switched to victoza. It seems to be working.

I am currently on 1mg of Ozempic every five days and have lost 56 lbs, since March 2023. I feel like I am starting to have gallbladder issues. I’m trying to suck it up because I don’t want to stop taking the medication. Crossing my fingers that it settles down.

I have been using Rybelsus for 2 months, and have lost 5 kg. without any side effects. It's also easier to get hold on than Ozempic that is always sold out. In Sweden at least.

WHY did you use the image with huge needles when saying you need to learn to self inject? I can barely see the needle on Ozempic without my readers, and I usually use my readers only for low light conditions. This could scare people who are considering this drug that could help them. Anyways, just started mine tonight after being allergic to metformin to reduce my insulin resistance and really hoping for some decent weight loss.

Is bydureon prescribed in the US? I thought that one has less side effects probability.

thanks I was on victozia and more recently Saxenda for a month (waiting to see if insurance will approve it for next time...might not) anyway I think I'm one of the folks he mentions where it "stops" working. As the meds just seem to "maintain" me I lost about 10 pounds since Jan and here we are in June and I'm just maintaining. I seem to easily be able to still have cravings for sweets (sucks that my brain is overpowering the meds) I wish I could get on the ozempic or wegovy but if his video is right it "most likely" won't do much better after a month or so on it. My body seems to adjust fairly quickly.

My doctor suggested ozempic for me because I don’t see any progress on weight loos even though I’m going to gym for strength training regularly and do my 7000 to 10k steps a day and following dietary system with 1800 cal, I hope it’ll work with me
