Your Guide to Being Assertive With Respect

Показать описание
Your guide to building a respect that is strong and authentic, as well as a mind that is assertive and elegant.
***If you are in a situation where you are being bullied, harassed, threatened, or harmed in anyway, PLEASE seek help immediately from a trusted adult, counselor or authority figure to resolve the issue. It is okay to bring in someone you trust as a mediator to help settle the situation. You do not, and should not, have to ever tolerate anything less than disrespect. Remember, you can't force anyone to respect you, but you can refuse to be disrespected.
Having elegant assertiveness begins with having respect.
However, how can we be respectful, yet stand up for ourselves and our values, all while maintaining our elegance?
In this video, we will learn seven tips for building a respect for ourselves, our values, and others that is strong and authentic.
This way each of our actions, words, and choices may always reflect our respect, so we may also treat others with respect, even in situations that call for us to be assertive.
Remember, the way we act is a reflection of ourselves. When we treat others with elegant respect, this reflects the elegant respect we have within for ourselves. And please know that you are always worthy of respect, love, and kindness, especially your own.
Keep in mind that just because we are respectful doesn't always guarantee we'll be respected in return. This is why it's extremely important for us to know how to stand up for ourselves and our values, so we may always acknowledge the respect we have for ourselves and not tolerate anything less.
This all begins with ourselves and our values. When we truly know our values, we will have a strong respect them. This respect leads us to always staying true to them as well as standing up for them in a respectful manner, at anytime necessary. This is what makes respect the third building block to having an assertive mind.
As you build your respect, remember to be patient with yourself. This is a journey that takes time, patience, and effort. Start by practicing simply one of these tips. And once you have learned and built the habit of one of these tips, choose another tip to practice. And as you continue to practice, add another tip and then another, and before you know it, you will be practicing all seven of these tips. This way you may carry yourself with an elegant respect so your inner beauty may always be shining bright from the inside out!
