Dreaming is an intriguing phenomenon, and it is one of those aspects of the human condition which is practically universal. After all, even though we may not necessarily remember our dreams it is something that every human, and indeed many animal species, experience. Despite this, we have only just broken through the surface when it comes to understanding the complexities of dreaming. One particular type of dream which has been extensively studied is lucid dreaming, an unusual state of consciousness where the dreamer is actually aware that they are dreaming.
Considering just how intense and immersive lucid dreams are, the question which inevitably comes to mind is – are lucid dreams really dangerous for us?

I have lucid dreamt before and I could control it, but one time I was stuck in a nightmare. It was like a child farm, similar to an anime called The Promised Neverland. I kept trying to wake up but I couldn't. Every time something would happen, If I tried to take the elevator I would get stuck and teleported to my bed, If I tried to get up from my bed and out of the bedroom door everything would turn upside down and I would get teleported to my bed again. Keep in mind I was capable of controlling one thing, I would teleport myself to other rooms and exits but each time I came back.

I have lucid dreams every night. I’m a light sleeper anyway.
