I dream a lot when I sleep. When I compare myself to my wife, she also admits I dream at a much higher rate than she does. Most of my dreams are nightmares though. Fortunately as the years have been passing by, my subconscious has been able to identify that indeed I am in a dream. I then choose to either fly away from the danger, if I'm having a nightmare, although some times I can't. Sometimes, as hard as I try, I either don't fly fast enough or I can't manage to take off. I am able to control my dream, not %100 but at least to the point where I can make the danger go away. Only once in my life was I able to control my dream so much, that I created a very pleasant moment from my past into my dream, and was able to remember most of it when I woke up. I was able to control the persons in my dream, the place, and the mood. It was one of the most amazing moments in my life; to be able to create yourself in a dream that feels as real as when you are awake.

I lucid dream all the time and have my own triggers of waking up. Every time I'm about to be killed I instantly wake up except for once. We're I died then woke up.

I remember the first time I had one of these ( accidently) I recall I could jump really high and it was amazing just to float around without a care

My best friend had a lucid dream, and she was able to make a horse appear and make it fly, without wings. She was able to fly, too.

I am quite worried. I have lucid dreams every night naturally. Is this normal? I have done this since birth, I can't help it. Also, is it normal to be able to also control other people/things while lucid dreaming or lucid nightmares? Oh and finally... Is it normal to be able to pick what to dream about before you go to sleep, and pick when to wake up.
