My favorite is defintely the SoNaF. They somehow managed to create a weapon with every part of the sword detailed with fashion, and in addition, they seperated the night and flame into two partd which aren't obvious and vague, but also not too hidden. Definetely my perfect weapon in here.

Golden Epitaph is more of a lore item, not only it shows Miquella's love for Godwyn, but also his despise for those who live in death. Futhermore, the Haligtree sigil that shines in the ash of war reveals that the Haligtree was already around when Godwyn died.

I use Golden Epitaph as my go to weapon when killing skeletons. It prevented them from reviving once you cut them down, unlike other weapon which needed an extra blow to keep the skeleton from reviving.

something about killing giant dragons, gods and eldritch abominations with a sharp slab of iron is very entertaining

i mean, golden epitaph is really meant to kill godwyn, so he could experience true death.

if i'm not wrong, the blade itself made out of unalloyed gold. and unalloyed gold have an important role in elden ring. one of them is malenia's needle that broken in her battle with radhan.

so, it can be say, unalloyed gold have the ability to nullify any other gods power. and in the case of godwyn, is the erdtree itself.

erdtree itself already died and only left the stump (the real part of the erdtree is the one that's darker, the golden part is just an object of faith).

the golden epitaph will be stabbed into the erdtree and kill it slowly, just like human do to tree stump that pinned with copper nails that will kill the tree
