Lived in Jacksonville all my life. BIGGEST MISTAKE PEOPLE MAKE: Thinking downtown is the place to go in Jacksonville. It is not. You do not want to be there at night. Only reason to go downtown is for Jags games. Then... get out.

Jacksonville is a good place to start over. I needed a place where nobody knew my name and was nice and warm. If you mind your own business you should get along just fine.

I was born and raised in Miami and I have been to Jacksonville a few times and I quite liked it. It's got a more "Southern" feel and the people are way nicer and not as stuck up and superficial as they are down in South Florida.

As someone who is Black and born and raised in Jacksonville, that racial tension quote is far from the truth. I’ve experienced more racially charged incidents away from Jax than in it. Love your channel, though! New subbie! 😉

Most of the Jax shootings happen in the same places over and over. 1) Moncrief 2) Westside 103rd St area. 3) Arlington Merrill Rd area.

Lived in Jax for 12 years... been in California for almost 2 years and all I can say is that I can not wait to go back and retire in Jax!! I miss it so bad. Just hope the military let us relocate back there asap!

Been here 20 years. I never noticed a swamp smell when I moved here and I still don't smell it now. You may have been in an area where you smelled sulfur water. Now THAT stinks. Also, Jax Beach is literally FULL of sidewalks AND has a boardwalk so I don't know where you got that info lol

"J'ville"? Born in Jacksonville, lived there in late 80's/early 90's and again 2013-2018 and have literally never heard of it referred to this name. We here call it "Jax".
