Friction Fire Bow Drill Tutorial

Demo and tutorial on the Bow Drill method of friction fire lighting filmed at our Hertfordshire woodland camp.

Done a few courses & this is the first guy that got me a successful fire from fire by friction..
Look at a few other videos to compare & his knowledge is noticeably better a very serious source of information.
The real thing is its fed to you at a rate so you can digest it & he gives all you can manage without confusing you too much.
I know instructors that could come to him & be taught at a pace they can handle....
The sites used are also a bit nicer in that they have better than basic in the toilet range & it's a bit sloped on one site but flat in places so good enough to camp.
One last comment is the site is not just chosen as its available it's paid for I saw the land owner walking her dog the instructor pays every course as its a good place to learn with a good variation of plants & trees so it's not just the same trees & plants there is a good variation that reflect the part of the he pays for this choice bit to teach.
