The new type r is nearly 50k!! Its mental. Going for the generation before, is definitely a good choice as its pretty much the same car as the new one but with a new body, better nav and a bit more power

The face life RS3 has a new engine and 400BHP but due to emission regs, the pre facelife sounds better when stock.

Brand new hot hatch...probably an RS3 or the FL5. There are other cars I prefer at that price (Giulia Veloce, 508 PSE, F-Type, Mustang) but for depreciation reasons I think those hatches would get a serious look - although an M240i is more appealing really, even if I can't drive it past schools in case the styling traumatises the kids.

If I'm funding it though, I'd pick any car on this list except the BMW over any new hot hatch though since value matters regardless of budget. And of course I've already turned all these cars down and been an idiot, as I'll be demonstrating tomorrow 🤣

Need to do a piece on more affordable hot hatches, 208 gti, last gen corsa vxr clubsport, clio rscl etc. Who on earth can splash up to 20 grand on one of these at the moment? Everyone on youtube seems to be obsessed with vw's, audi, mercs and bmw which are crazy expensive and....really boring....

They drop from there original price. The frist 4 years then they hold their prices obviously low mileage keep prices higher.
