When I first started running I had such little stamina so what helped me is making a playlist roughly 30 min long and running 1 song and walking the next until the playlist ended. When that got easier I made the playlist 40 min. And then I eventually started running 2 songs and walked 1 song

Love love love you saying that running is a privilege. 100%. I have a friend who is paralyzed waist down and whenever I'm unmotivated for the gym or running, I literally think about how grateful I am that I have two working legs that let me run!

As an absolute beginner who has never managed to run for more than 15 seconds at a time, I really needed to hear that consistency will make the world shine

When I started running, I hated it cos my fitness level was SO low. Running was suddenly so easy to progress and SO much more enjoyable when I built up strength on my legs. Plus, I actually enjoy stretching and don’t see it as a waste of time so just extra benefits for me. ❤

It’s one of the hardest thing to do but the post feeling after running is so rewarding!! Consistency will always be key!!

I have asthma and plantar fascitis, but I felt God calling me to run. So despite the odds, I want to start and learn to enjoy it. Nothing can stop you but your mindset

yesss the best part about running is anyone can do it! i myself went from the MOST unathletic kid ever who ran 12 minute miles to now having a pr of 5:57 mile!! I promise all it takes is STICKING WITH IT!!

I've been running every week for a few months now, but two weeks from now I can't put myself out there 😭 I don't like men watching me when I run, and I always run on the same places which is boring, and im scared to go on unknown places... I'm here for motivation

What worked really well for me was starting on really small distances and low speeds so that after a run, I was never so exhausted that I would've said "I hate running". Then I started to get excited about the progress I was making and now I really want to get better. Honestly what has been helpful for me was to really listen to my body and begin to feel the difference between "I'm in pain, I have to stop" and "I'm exhausted but I can push myself". The goal is to not get to the first one and to keep pushing when you're at the second one. For the first time in my life I understand what people mean when they talk about runner's high.

A tip that worked for me is to use scheduled walking breaks. I like setting an interval timer on my watch or phone and that way you don’t have to decide on when to do what when you’re already tired on the run💫

thanks so much Amelie! I was recently inspired by you to start up running again (i ran cross country in middle school.) i really lost the love for it when i ran competitively but now it's so enjoyable again! seeing someone my age so accomplished and motivated to run is awesome. thank you Amelie from the bottom of my heart for bringing back my love for running 💕

This video is so helpful and relates to me because I am in cross country and I run 2 miles at my cross country meets. Last year for cross country at the meets, I ran 1 1/5 miles, and now in 2023 1 1/5 miles feels easy for me (this year 2 miles is sometimes challenging). I am so proud of myself for how I have improved! Pushing myself to not walk while running has helped me to get better times in races.

I've been learning how to actually hold my body for running; I've been doing everything wrong because I was never taught before 😭 I'm excited to try out the correct techniques, and YES ON THE CUTE CLOTHES! 💜💕✨

I really want to start running on a regular basis and learn to enjoy it, my mom has been running for a long time and can run pretty far so I’m looking forward to working my way up from 1 mile 😊

love this girl thank you! i’ve been lifting for almost 2 years now consistently, and i have a high fitness level, but running has always been soooo difficult for me because of my horrible stamina haha; recently, i’ve just been wanting to run, and i have no idea why because i’ve always hated it, but i’m excited to start this journey!
