Hanging helps with my shoulder pain. I had tendinitis in both my shoulders and I hang before a workout for a minute...it was a definite game changer for me.

I started hanging every day at 8 yrs old and continued till today. Then my height was around 4 ft 3. Now at the age of 39, my height is 6 ft 1!! So it definitely helps size-wise ✌️

Hanging upside down off the bar is also tremendous for the back. Total decompression of the lumbar spine

Good video! I am 59 years old, hanging on a bar is also part of my training program. Result: I go to doctors only to get a medical checkup and make sure I'm still healthy.

Definitely helps my back pain. And not even five mins. Even hanging 1 min a couple times is hard but i can feel the back relaxing.

Two or three times a week I walk with a heavy pack. I think it's particularly important to hang after each session.

No mentions about this relieves a lot of shoulder pain ?.
Hanging provides space for the shoulders to move more freely.

I did this to see if it would relieve my shoulder pain. After 1 week of hanging my shoulders felt a lot better. So I started doing it every day for 4 minutes. Then added weight.

Hanging aids in grip strength. Especially when you start adding time and weights to your hangs.

I’ve been bar hanging for over a decade. I did not get any taller but now I can tie my shoes without bending over!

I have been hanging from bars right side up and upside down for a few years now. The last time I had a physical the doctor measured me at 6'1 and 1/2 inch. I have never been more than 6'1" in my life. I was in somewhat disbelief since they say you are supposed to get shorter with age. I had the doctor check my height again, just to be sure, it was indeed 6'1 and 1/2 inch. I am 62 years old. I think the whole lengthening of the spine thing might be true.

Some people say they are getting injured doing this. It should be emphasized that you should hang with your lats/shoulder blades contracted such that your weight is supported in your mid to upper back. Don't just hang with your arms completely straight so that your arms are pressed up against your ears.

3 times per day I do 10 sets of 30s hanging (dead hang or partial hang) + 1 minute stretching/mobility exercises. This has greatly helped my shoulder mobility and strength. I can do all the things I couldn't do before: swimming, push up, pull up, etc.
