I'd say it's 100% gonna replace smite 1 eventually. But I wouldn't drop the $30 unless you can afford it and are a big fan of smite 1

bro that ui looks like it as made back in 2000s

Graphics and UI look horribly dated. This isn't a sequel, it's a lightly touched up reboot.

Good lord! I have looked all over the place for a simple explanation as to what SMITE 2 changes. Great video!

I played like 3 matches, then went back to smite 1. It's just a worse version, with changes that aren't actually an improvement, it's just dumbing down the game

I just tried it and it feels good but man a lot of LoL mechanics and feels like they trying copy some things from other 3rd person moba paragon. Not really a fan of active items. I'm stick with smite 1.

This looks like an "Overwatch 2" sequal where they change barely anything, barely add anything new, make the gameplay worse, and force more monetization down our throats.

I just hope they don't sell out to Nickelodeon again.

Smite took the safe route with smite 2. The graphics are barely any better and the gameplay looks the same. I wanted the sequel to feel fresh and new. This feels like a reboot which i dont think smite needed ..

The sounds of movement tricky. Not everyone uses headsets or have other blockers that can limit this giving the other players a higher advantage. It’s a bit hectic.

The reason I stopped playing Smite was the monetization system and seeing it even worse in smite 2 only scare me away.

I guess the biggest issue for me is that I need to buy this game just to see if it's any difference for me.

They need OG joust and OG Assault or else all their old fans will never play again. I've been playing since season 3. My friends since beta season 1. Have more game modes and joust the 2 of us as well.

Nah the community has devolved into the one with most deaths and least kills screaming at everyone and harassing the support.

Put $2000 into smite 1 over 10 years and they repay me with legacy gems and a $30 paywall. i’m good. Low rez is already speaking volumes

I been playing Smite1 since season 2. We are in alpha phase24/7. Its being rushed out. Its not even ready for alpha phase. We have deadlock and marvel over watch clone comeing out. I know HiRez right now is pissed at steam for a smite clone with deadlock. Steam has such big fan base compared to Hi REz. I think smite 2 is already to late. Deadlock, marvel and smite 2 with be officially launching about same time. The price of skins in smite 2 at 9.99 plus 1200 legacy skins is very high. So many op gods even after alpha phase 4 little change in that department.

what's the use of jumping when there's no platforms DX

Looks pretty redundant. Another big factor: Do skins carry over? If not, I'm instantly out. And I bet they do not and that is the real reason to launch mostly the same game again.

You forgot the worst thing about Smite 2. It's launching tomorrow with 23 gods. That's a pitiful amount when there's around 120 in Smite 1.

I need to see a 4k video to confirm graphics.

Ima be honest, have played, yet ima say yes.

Imagine not playing/trying a game and saying no to it LOL. I get it, you looked at the game, watched some videos and decided it wasn't for you. while me, a player who played Smite since Season 3 and played Smite 2 since it launched Closed Alphas in May, i can tell you with certainty that I'm sticking to Smite 2, the potential for it when fully released is so much more than Smite 1 and already we see great improvements that they made, both visually and performance wise.

I'll see you all in the 24/7 Closed Alpha on the 27th August, tomorrow.😛
