I don’t understand why “plus doc fee, tax title and license” is mentioned. You should tell him that you are looking for 10% off MSRP, tax, Title, License PERIOD. LET HIM JUSTIFY HIS FEES. YOU SHOULD NOT TELL HIM OUT OF THE GATE THAT YOU ACCEPT FEES.

Destination chargers on the Mulroney sticker is the charge to ship the car from the port or factory to the dealer, all other fees are pure profit for doing nothing.

Dealer sounded uneducated and scared...smh

The dealer is running a game with your employee and I wouldn't deal with a place that adds a shipping fee to a car that already has it on the sticker. The shipping cost is NOT to the port as the dealer's address is on the window sticker and stated on it as well.

I have never negotiated fees or add price only, this salesman is new to the game, the broker was good....straight to the point, no small you do this or not....the way they structure it makes no difference if the price you pay is where you want it to be...

destination is already factored into the MSRP

So sad that so many people will fall for these numbers that they pull out of thin air.

Dealer told me in order to get the advertised Smart price I had to get the dealer installed aftermarket items totaling over 1.5k. that brought the price back to MSRP. That is false advertising and the dealer was like call it what you will.

That fee is SET. Applies to Toyota's sold in the southeast.

Was part of the issue being in Florida? In the south, Toyotas have what are essentially dealer add-ons bundled into the MSRP ($699 service plan, $399 floor mats, etc.)

When your crew says MSRP, do they actually mean the MSRP or the Total Suggested Retail Price? Subaru price listing tags always has an option package below the MSRP that beefs up the TSRP.

Frieght fee aka destination fee is a 1 time charge for whoever buys it new. Anyone trying to pull that on a used car is just BS'ing

Freight fee my rear end

Does msrp include toyota packages and add ons they put at port before getting to the dealership? For example, msrp for the car is $36k but they put on like 3k options and port addona before it gets to the dealer. In this case, is msrp $36k or is it $39k
