Soooo this part is how a narcissist is born . I have CPTSD but I am very open, empathetic, truthful, vulnerable and kind … I don’t believe in being powerful. I believe in love, in god, in the truth, and goodness. I have been severely abused, but faith has held my hand in the dark, over and over. This is very helpful in understanding what happened to me and the people that traumatised me. I was born with a special spark, chutzpah, the gene to fight for the truth. And I’m still here xxx thank you 🙏🏼 for helping us all.

Beautiful!!! They need this in the school system so the kids can learn the right way to have value if their parents are not capable to.

Wow! This describes two relatable things. One, my brother who is still in the jungle - was just described perfectly. And for me, I’ve done a lot of healing work, this describes the two value systems that have always felt like two different worlds and I’m not fully in either one - so I always feel out of place. The easy thing was acknowledging that I was NOT of the environment in which I was raised. The HARDEST part was deciding who I AM. I have claimed my values and I am more often Zoe now - until I have to fight off the next trigger. Knowing who you are gives you strength for the fight.

Hello, Mr. Fletcher. I am from Indonesia. Your video just explained my whole existence in survival mode. I have problems to release my emotions and dealing with myself. You've helped me a lot through this healing journey by giving me powerful insights and positive feedback. I'm glad to have found your channel. The content of your video is very easy to understand, every word, and everything in the video is important to me. Thank you SO MUCH for creating such an amazing series and sharing helpful perspectives! God bless you, Mr. Fletcher. 🙏🏻💗

This is one of Tim's better ones for me. He nailed my Dad. He ruled through fear, extreme violence was his answer for everything he didn't like. Right and wrong no longer mattered. It was how he felt about it. If he didn't like it, you had only seconds take the same stance or POW. He's gone now, but I have got the rest of family to agree. We lived only to keep him happy. Anything less was risking injury.

This was so good... after growing up fatherless in boys boarding schools, survival was paramount and bred in me all the narcissistic tendencies to survive... I became a Christian but when I am triggerred or feel unsafe I seek to control rather than to love

Determining the safe people is the issue….

There is no more important video in existence than this one except one that shows how our society can shift to feed all of its people with a living wage and dignified jobs for all, along with mental health education for all throughout life, thereby preventing the need to live in survival mode.

Such a clear expression. My family was totally coming from The Law of the Jungle. Mother is a narcissist and in fight operating from pride and father was avoidant, in flight, operating from shame.

This would describe my last partner, and how sad the he never wanted to go back and heal his childhood wounds and pain. My parents too, true enough. It's been hard to let go of people in pain who choose not to heal and move into a more healthy life. Abusers are created, and this is the recipe for how to create them. Thank you Tim, again - I feel so sad that some people choose this over healthy growth.

And - thinking it over I wouldn't ever comply with the abuser's dominance as child and that led to scapegoating. I was rejected and treated with contempt by my family of origin because I would not comply with the narcissistic agenda. It's a big price to pay, but I wanted to be authentic and healthy.

This hit me exactly where I needed it to. My journey is in the early exploration stages, and I just realised I’ve been educating myself with a subconscious intent to fix or harness my weakness as strength.
The significant realisation of how difficult this journey is going to be has just dawned on me; I’ve spent my whole life “improving myself” in layers of alters, and now im going to have to be mindful of when I’m healing/growing healthily vs fixing myself / masking / unhealthy unmet needs based “improvements”

I’ve always talked to professionals / psyches because it’s “the right way to approach mental health”. For the first time; looking at what is happening and how my view of myself and the world is going to poison the well - I honestly believe I need help and I’m going to seek a professional.

Thanks for the great education

I’m not a narcissist and anyone can tell you tht. I keep to myself. I’d love to hide from the world then to be part of it. The last thing I want to do is make anyone do anything. So a narcissist I am NOT

Politicians are like that. Corporate houses are also in survival mode. The world largely like that...

Oh yes thank you for explaining this distinction and the need to abandon the base values of mere survival.
