My adult children are very spoil and stay with their hands out. I've recently started to say NO and regained my oxygen and space. I utilize my extra money and time on myself. You're so right they expect for me to say yes all the time because I have. Time to grow up!

#BOL im finding out more and more everyday that my YES is only valuable when im confident enough to say NO. Im a natural people pleaser, to the point where I would wear myself out and go without what I need in order to help others, and they would constantly call me with a problem. One girl had the nerves to call me on my birthday and talk my head off for hours on end. I knew right then I had to stop myself from being a 'yes man' and start saying NO, when I dont feel like doing something. Its still something im working at, but it's getting better.

In the past I made a Vow to love myself without knowing what’s that meant or what it looked like. Today, someone from my past decided to just show up at my place tonight unannounced and seeing this video just made it that much easier to tell them no without any judgment or explanation.. where as in the past I would have felt guilty. I listen to your videos every single day. You are changing my life trust me. I would love to meet you someday. All my life I have seen my parents over giving people even at the cost of their peace of mine. For the first time today, I said NO to one of my friends (politely, not rudely), because I realised by telling her YES I was telling myself and my family a NO. If I did it in the past I Would have guilted like anything. This time the guilt did come, but I treated it like an outsider. I love this transformation in me.

Hey Big Sis. This episode is needed to not only build my strength to say NO but to build my self worth. I recently started my own business, without no knowledge of starting a business. I didn't know or think it was a good idea to turn down work because I am just starting out. Well after listening to this episode, I realized sometimes saying NO gracefully and professionally is extremely necessary in order to build your worth. Professional I can now rely on my skills to earn me the clients and set my prices with confidence because I am not afraid to say NO when it is right.
