🌻 Oh Angel, what a beautiful message. It brought me to tears. I just had my first child, my daughter, on April 28. I’m trying to savor every second of her newborn stage. Since finding your channel and others like it I have learned to be more happy in the now. For most of my life I was encouraged to look ahead and strive for more. I think sometimes discontentment is hidden under the guise of ambition. My parents raised me to be an ambitious go-getter. All through school I was so busy and pulled in so many directions. Always “striving for more.” I was encouraged to “never be content” where I was, because “you should always be improving.” I ended up going to college for music, and it was the same way there. We were encouraged to never be happy with where we were at in the moment, which meant I was never happy. I was extremely depressed through all 6 years of my college education. That spilled into my marriage life for a few years, as it took me so long to recover from burn out. I was always encouraged to never be content because they said “being content means you’re stagnant.” I have completely abandoned that ideology now. I’m happier than I have ever been. God has blessed me so much and I am so grateful. Now I teach private music lessons on the side, and I get to be a homemaker as my main vocation. All I ever want is to be here for my family. I am so glad that I have left the toxic side of the music industry behind. Thank you for making this content. It is truly edifying! 💜 Also loved the song choice for this video, it was perfect!
