top works more chest and bottom works more triceps. When trying to max out the army pt scores back in the day, you start off with the bottom technique then switch to the top when your tris got tired

I agree some of us could be asking for trouble doing vertical push movements at 90 degrees. Better to go with 45-60 degrees.

Yeah... I have to ISOLATE so freaking much to not aggravate my shoulder injuries. (Both injuries are Suprapinatus) so this workout would be a no go.

Your elbows should be angled 45 degrees every repetition, if you angle 90, your elbows are gonna break way sooner than 45 would

its good to think that your body is in a arrow shape instead of a T shape, also you should turn your hands inward towards your body so you don't hurt your wrists :P

It's more about hand placement if you turn your wrists inwards that's what activates your chest
