What a coincidence, i just started taking collagen powder like 3 weeks ago. I haven't felt much difference in how I'm building muscle with my training but my skin became really really soft, and my hair is growing faster too. It also helps with bone and joint pain too.

I must admit that adding collagen to my supplement mix truly made a difference. I had increased my weight by 20 pounds with very slight change in body fat (roughly 1.5 to 2%) the increase in weight can only be attributed to increased water retention increased bone density or increased muscle mass. I used to take one scoop of collagen peptide with my protein on heavy lift days and consistently mixed with my intra workout BCAA for a period of a month. People really commented on my change in muscular development over the time.

I have a disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a collagen disorder. Basically, my collagen is defective so producing more does not really help me. Now, it does help normal people because their collagen actually works. Sadly, there is nothing currently that will help me create more effective collagen so I have to rely more on my muscle fibers to keep my joints in check. Hopefully soon there will be a medical breakthrough though!

Collagen type 2. In the beginning when i started to take pills of 500mg, i felt strange things in my joints. Man something good came out of i i think, cause it feels better then before.

I've been putting a scoop of collagen peptides in my morning oatmeal for about two months now. According to my fancy scale, my bone density immediately went from 6.2 to 6.4 and stayed there. That's about the only concrete thing I can tell you.

Started taking collagen about a month ago since my joints are already ruined at 23yrs old and I must say it does help a lot with the pain, as for muscle gain I can't since not enough time has passed and I have a pretty well balanced nutrition so I can't really attribute any gains to just collagen itself. Though if you got bad joints just go for it and implement a lot of post workout stretching.

Alright i have been taking collagen for nearly 4 months now and from my subjective experience, it doesnt seem to do anything to my strength or muscle gains, it probably doesnt have any effect on my joint health either since my wrist injury doesnt get any better.
But it did make my skin whiter and clearer, i didnt even notice this until a friend of mine pointed out that my skin looks really white recently and then i compared my skin color it with my older sister who used to have a fairer skin, lo and behold i am now whiter than her lmfao.
