Why you should buy a Wii U in 2024

Almost 12 years old we discuss why you need a Wii U in 2024.

This incredible console with its innovative touch screen tablet pad controller is still just as cool as it ever was. And the games that still have yet to be ported to the switch make this a must have console.

Not to mention the backwards compatibility with Wii games and the ability to use hdmi make it a no brainer.

I ordered a Wii u the other day. Missed out playing it as a kid as I chose a new 3ds xl instead. The one I ordered has over 100 games on it so I’m super keen to play on it

The Wii U is the ultimate Nintendo console. Once you mod it, you can play every Nintendo game before it and then some. It's a great way to play some Switch big hitters for a fraction of the price and the few games that still aren't on the Switch.

Although, Nintendo Network is closing this year it had the advantage of free online, which had some great games to choose from such as MK8, Splatoon and Black Ops 2.

I got my wiiU april of last year and its pretty good considering i never had one before therefore i never experienced the disappointment of the slow library.

The fact I come across this video when buying a Wii U!!! I never owned one and got to experience the games so this will be new to me, the games I’m getting are New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, plus Mario Maker!

I got the Wii U in April of last year and the only thing I regret is not buying the cables sooner (since the was several months were U had the console but not the cables). I have a soft spot flr this console along side the 3ds with a lot of childhood memories and like the 3ds is one of my favorite consoles of all time ( I unironically prefer the Wii U over the switch) Nice to see people cherising the console again

I’m really wanting to sell my Xbox one for a Wii U as I never use my Xbox one. I’ll come back if I ever do.

Didn't see this video before doing so but heard about the servers shutting down so figured that was the right time to get one (for piracy and modding) so JUST got one for around 80 bucks US. Mainly got it for portable GC (have looked at the more expensive emulation handhelds but this didn't seem like a bad solution) but Wii and Wii U to boot seems fine as I've so far never owned or played those consoles (skipped out from Wii-Switch due to not liking the motion controls and mistakenly thinking the Wii U was just an upgraded Wii).

For any wanting to play StarFox listen carefully, don't play the main story first. Go to training mode and spend about two hours learning the controls, because the motion controls are kinda complicated. There's a minus button that swap screens and you have the ability to turn the motion controls on or off in the pause menu. It's easier to shoot everyone in first person mode, where as all ranged mode is easier for avoiding enemies.
