I watched your video and my Mini broke the same day. Thanks a lot. Mini's have feelings, you know.

"Under the hood, it's too tiny."

What did you expect from a brand called MINI? Lol

I had a 2002 Mini Cooper S (first year) supercharged, 6sp manual and I drove the piss out of that thing for almost 180, 000 miles.
Tires, front end alignment and oil changes is all I ever needed to do.

It was a blast to drive. I paid $17K for it new. Sold it for $6K. Worth every penny.

I still drive my mini since 2003! and the only problem i had in this whole period was to replace the window el. motor on the driver side and stearing servo, for me a real super solid fun car. Almost no costs after buying and a lot of personality, hard to find something similar, just love it.

I was just looking at potentially purchasing one of these used. Thank you for your input sir, you've saved me from a potential problem! JUST SUBSCRIBED

In its day the original Mini was regarded as pretty tricky to work on too, because there wasn't much room around the engine. Back then, cars had engine bays you could stand in while you worked;) Also had its fair share of problems, mostly down to Lucas 'Prince of Darkness' electrics and rusty subframes. But unlike the new MINI, they were at least cheap to fix.

I used to work for Mini back in England when they moved production to Oxford. I think the main problem they had was making a big car fit in a small body. Never liked or understood why they had the rev counter where there speedo should be.

Hey Scotty, what do you think about Geely cars? They now own Volvo, so now do they have the same reliability? They have Volvo's drivetrain and other components etc.
