It is 100% this evil monsters fault, but I just have this feeling there may be missing pieces. I understand he groomed, manipulated, & isolated her & he probably threatened her that he would “K” her & family if she ever left etc & she was a child when this started & none of this is her fault. I feel the parents made mistakes & could have done more and I am sure they have regrets & it they also seem older for having a daughter her age so not sure if that had any bearing on their thought process. I know things were much different back then and in different areas but I know there is no way I would ever let my daughter have a boyfriend for two years & be gone without meeting him, & having him around us & probably at minimum talking to hid parents & she definitely wouldn’t be staying over night at 14 15 or 16 yrs old. I think I would keep calling the police, then call the media & news or anyone I could think of. I would keep going back to his house again & again & I would keep telling my daughter that no matter what he is saying or threatening you with.. I don’t care & I would rather be gone than to loose her. Tell her we will run with her if we need to, & leave the country or whatever it takes but that love shouldn’t hurt, or make you sad, or keep you from
Family and friends and love shouldn’t feel like control & that abuse is emotional, mental and physical and none of it is ever okay and it’s never love. BUT again, I recognize times were different and we have learned much more about abuse and grooming etc in current times. I just hate to hear about any child or teen that suffers any type of abuse, & that is definitely still going on just as much today. May she rest in peace 🙏
