Cheaters will flip out and say things like “WHY DON’T YOU TRUST ME?” or “YOU’RE PISSING ME OFF WITH THESE QUESTIONS”. There’s a huge difference between genuine concern and nitpicking. Insecurity makes the situation worse but it’s not a cause for cheating. When someone wants to cheat or gets caught cheating they will use any reason they can to justify their actions. They don’t want to be held accountable for their actions or to be judged. It’s gas lighting. It’s rationalization.

Cheating 100% goes beyond the realm of sex. There’s emotional cheating as well, which is emotionally depending on someone other than your partner (& other than FAMILY). Depending on friends is one thing (it shouldn’t be hidden) but if couples want to go far, they need to work things out with each other. They shouldn’t be going to someone else (other than family and very close platonic friends) for advice or consideration pertaining to relationship issues between the couple. Also when a partner is depending on other guy/girl for entertainment (randomly striking up conversation with someone you barely talk to and then maintaining that conversation for a period of time) and then proceeding to hide the conversation from their partner. Nothing should be hidden other than justifiably confidential &/or personal info. Personal info may be broad at the start of a relationship, but getting more into the relationship, the level of comfort when it comes to sharing info SHOULD increase steadily. Discomfort in a relationship shouldn’t be overlooked because when one is uncomfortable in one situation, it is possible for them to be uncomfortable in many others. Secrecy leads to problems, unless the other person genuinely doesn’t care much about their partner and what they do/who they do it with.
