Top Gun: Maverick | Don't Think. Just do.

One of the rare films where every discussion leaving the theater is about how much fun you just had, instead of an analysis of its quotients. I enjoyed every minute and feel this what summer blockbusters are supposed to be. It also pays a nice tribute to the past film.
this film is filled with training sequences, all of which are thrilling. You don't go to a film like Top Gun: Maverick for the story, but it also delivers on that front. With just enough substance, a likeable cast, and some terrific performances in some very key scenes, I was engaged with this film from start to finish.
After having seen it, I can very happily say that Top Gun: Maverick is the definition of the word awesome.

I hadn't felt what a "Summer Blockbuster" was like since the late 90's. I've seen this Epic movie 6 times in the theatre and It pays homage to that Era...Thank You Mr. Cruise!

When he got his bar bill from Penny, he had to hold it at arm's length to read it. It means he can't focus on things close up and probably has difficulties reading the cockpit displays.

This is what Hollywood COULD churn out routinely if they wanted... but have chosen not to. This story is a masterpiece. And I wasn't a huge fan of the first Top Gun. The drama was so well done, the humor hit the mark every time, and the action... please. And I love that the entire thing could be Maverick's fleeting thoughts during the last moments of his life in the opening scene. I DID NOT think I'd like this and didn't see it in the theater! Please bring it back to the big screen!

i am in tears! chills ran up and down my whole body during this. the cut from “It’s time to let go.” to “Time is your greatest enemy” made my breath catch in my throat. this is an absolutely stunning edit. a beautiful tribute to the film of the year and one of the best of all time. 💙✈️
