I watched this with my mom and not even one second after the movie started and this theme started, I was already smiling with joy knowing that they know what we're here for. It's by far my favorite movie of the year.

Did not expect the intro to be the same.
As soon as the music started I was 'oh damn' and the hairs stood up on my neck. As it showed the flight deck scene, a huge grin appeared on my face, Kenny Loggins hits, started kicking my feet.
My smile didn't leave my face until I went to bed that night.
They knew the risk of making this sequel, taking on the best movie of many of our lives. Anything less than perfect was going to be a let down to millions of 80s fans and more.
The absolutely knocked it out of the park.
Now my favorite movie of all time.

One thing I like about the opening scene is how the majority of the focus goes on the deck crew and how crucial they are to the entire operation, same goes for the original movie.

The floor slipped beneath my feet when I heard this intro in the theatre. Out of all the expectations I had from the movie, I didn't expect it to start the same way as the last one.
