This was the first reason I turned my back on Calvinism. In my early 20s I joined a Reformed church and after convincing the Pastor to do some street evangelism with me, we started talking to people on the streets very near to the church. That was until the Pastor over heard me telling someone "Jesus died for your sins". The Pastor came over right away and told me in front of the person I was talking to that I should not say that as I do not know if it is true as I can not know he is in the elect. I then started investigating Calvinism more and this led to a total rejection of Calvinism.

how to trigger a Calvinist, say "I have decided to follow Jesus" lol

This is one point I often raise. If someone asks they cannot say, YES he died for you. All they can try to do is squirm and be sneaky and say “if you call upon Jesus you will be saved.”

Pathetic really… being deceptive to an unsaved person seeking truth.

I once read a Calvinist online who when out witnessing, he says “ Jesus died for sinners like you” because he doesn’t know if Jesus did die for them. As a Calvinist, you have to apply that to yourself as well though surely, so where is the assurance in that?

The Calvinist evangelist speaks to the crowd: “I might have some good news.”

"Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so."

All of TULIP is a heretical blasphemy of the grace and sufficiency of our only Savior.

The amount of people getting upset with the idea that Christ died for all is terrifying for any true Bible believer. It's very eye opening to say the least. Scripture couldn't be clearer about the scope of Christ's atoning work and those opposing this idea are doing so not from scriptural authority but from tradition. Wake up people.

Our former young restless and reformed pastor was approached by another evangelical (they didn’t know one another) who said “Jesus loves you.” He turned to him and obnoxiously replied “How do you know?”

Calvinist: call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved.

Unsaved person: so Jesus died for me?

Calvinist: Jesus died for all who would believe in him.

Unsaved person: so he made a way for me to be saved?

Calvinist: he made away for all to be saved that would believe in him.

Unsaved person: so did Jesus actually die for me personally?

Calvinist: did someone say KFC? 🍗 😂

ask a calvinist " is everyone in the world lost before they are born again "
calvinist answer "yes "
reply " so scripture says that Jesus came for the lost, do you still believe everyone in the world is lost ?

Calvinism in this case causes God to become a liar a deceiver. On one hand the literal and direct words of Jesus says God agape and genuinely loves the world, all of humanity, yet on the other God only "effectually" loves just the elect.

Anyone with a clear mind can see saying you love someone but not enough to offer life saving salvation to them genuinely knows that is not a real or true love, a lesser love.

Well agape love is the highest and most genuine love there is.

"Did Jesus die for me?"

The genuine answer of a Calvinist should be "I don't know or maybe, maybe not."

My professor of theology said you cannot. He's a Calvinist. So there you go.

*Calvinism:* _God wants you to sin_
*Bible:* God does _NOT_ want you to sin

One Calvinist I know said children should never sing the song... "Jesus Loves Me".

Mat 19:13  Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
Mat 19:14  But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 19:15  And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

No more than they can confidently say they themselves are saved.

I Really enjoy reading Commentaries, especially when Scriptures are a bit hard to understand.
Are there any GOOD Commentators you can recommend that are provisionalist in foundation?

Even though I'm not a calvinist I am thankful for my calvinist brothers and sisters because they encourage other Christians to live boldly and with conviction. Too many people out there claim to be Christians but don't really live boldly and by the words of scripture. Calvinists are far more confidently convicted that they're particular interpretation is correct and therefore their approach to the gospel and how they interact with people. That is something that I'm thankful to my calvinist brothers and sisters for. However, oftentimes that confidence can become self-righteous rather than confident in Christ. An example of this is when Calvinists will use language such as their standard is Jesus Christ which comes off as if they're saying that any non calvinist is not using the same standard. They become so confident that they're interpretation is correct that they are not willing to allow any chance that their interpretation might actually be wrong. They automatically assume that everyone else is wrong in their right and their interpretation. Calvinists are very confident in in their convictions about their scriptural interpretations which to some degrees is a good thing but to other degrees is harmful and divisive in the Christian community. They were taught very vehemently by famous calvinistic pastors and scholars that they will not change their mind no matter what. That's why to my calvinist brothers and sisters, I beg and plead with you to let go of that overconfidence and practice more humility in that field of your lives. I hear constant stories of people leaving the faith because of either Calvinism or Catholicism. They were tired of defending the contradictions in denominational interpretations using nothing more than double speak. My father is a calvinist himself and his behavior has led to two of my family members leaving the faith. You may be convicted that your interpretation is the truth, and even if it is you need to be far more humble than you currently are. I'm not saying that there aren't Calvinists who aren't more humble than this because there are quite a few who are but I see far more cases of Calvinists having this borderline arrogance than other Christians. Please brothers and sisters pray that God helps you to be more humble.

What’s truly sickening is how Calvinist openly and almost proudly claim that God hates some people, like straight up hating there guts. I’ve heard Polite Leader among others make such a blasphemous claim.
