How to Get Stronger - Hulk Strength Training

This post explores how to get stronger, discussing basic and advanced strength training, so you can develop superhuman strength like the hulk!

The basic rules of strength training are simple. If you want to get stronger, you need to keep adding more weight using progressive overload. You'll train somewhere within 70-95% of your one rep maximum, using big compound lifts for just a few repetitions. This will increase your type 2x muscle fiber, and help you to improve your neural drive/firing rate/muscle fiber recruitment.

But if you want to develop even more power and strength, then there are some less obvious strength training techniques that can help you tap into that potential.

These include things like the dynamic effort method, using by Westside Barbell, ballistic isometrics, heavy partials and more. Watch the video and learn how to get stronger in every situation!

Honestly, you're my favorite channel on YouTube, you synthesize all the channels I'm already watching and delve deeper into topics in a more esoteric way than most people even consider. It's not just about the perfection of the body but also the mind and integrating all modalities to reach the pinnacle of what the human body is capable of which really resonates with me. Thank you for your continuing efforts to spread information and help mankind reach its fullest potential.

Speed work helps a ton! I trained a guy 3 deadlift sessions over a week and a half period and his Max was 405, on the third workout he hit 440x2

Excellent video and really well written advice. As a powerlifter, I can say that if you follow what's mentioned in this video, you won't go far wrong. The only thing I'd add is the cube method (As you mentioned Westside) for Powerlifting. Theres also a cube method for Strongman for all you functional people out there. Nice work on the video Adam!

Hell yeah thanks for some of these things you mentioned! I have used some of the things you said in this video when i was training back in 2011, and did all of my execises standing up. I noticed that doing 1 or 2 reps of a specific exercise while movong slowly through the motion is extremely helpful in building true strength and as you said it helps to build up the mind-body connection which i believe is necessary to get to that ultra instinct level of movement. Now a days and 8 to 9 years later i find myself catching things before they even leave my hand or the area it was falling from before i even have the chance to think about it. I jole and say it is my ninja reflexes but i feel there is mlre behind it...

Sounds like an introduction to chain training: instead of targeting single muscles, target entire muscle groups, i. e. all muscles involved in the respective movement; use proactive tension throughout all of them to even out or prevent such imbalances (shoutout to Red Delta Project by the way, whose explanation I have butchered here).
