Are you looking to increase the number of pullups or chinups that you can perform in a single set? to simplify 1. arch your back a bit more
2. try to hit ur lower chest on the bar

I found that my pull ups are improving just by doing exercises that work mostly my back muscles over the past week or two. Basically doing inverted dead-hang on rings and working my back muscles (scalpula / trapezius, etc) to complete retraction for 5 or more reps and leaving my arms in a dead hang. Improves my body row as well (can't get any lower at this point as I'm planked to the ground). Also improves my dead-hang, and I roll into skin-the-cat or move to attempt back levers, so I get at least 3 exercises in a set. Every day I get a little closer to a full inverted row without my feet on the ground.

Thanks for this and all your other videos Dan.  Such a humble but thorough approach to presenting your information and clearly you practice what you preach.  This video has hit right on what I have been trying to suss with my pull ups in the last few weeks since you have always seemed to go so much higher than me and I've just put your advice from this video into action and hit the correct form or very close to it, so will keep practicing these.  All the best.
