Doesn't work any more. They come back every single time i open the app. The only way I can get rid of them is to get rid of all recommendations by turning off my history off completely.

It doesn't remove shorts. You can always watch shorts if you tempted on the bottom of the app

yt removed the option for me to choose "not interested" and "hide" on the shorts

Thank you brother, ive been trying to do this for a long time. I uninstalled all the apps that have this style of video but wanted to keep youtube because most of the time is not for entertainment bu Every time i come here i just get distract and end up on this loop of watching short videos.

thing about shorts, is it's so easy to just watch a whole video, then rewatch it without you're brain processing the fact that you already watched this video, really hate how for me they just seemed to appear out of nowhere on the platform then got addicting like that.

So strange, I never asked for an avalanche of SHORTS. I probably watched 2 in the last 3 months. I find shorts absurd, always too short to finish a story. Often silly, it offers a beginning, a middle…but no end. No resolution.

Yes, I can work at this and tap “Not interested” 15 times but again, how did I get this flurry of silliness in the first place?

ive disabled dozens of shorts using "not interested " but shorts reappear, different i use mozilla on a pc for ytube...
i dont have " feeds " or " general playback "as some people suggest to make em disappear for good ie. no shorts ever...
can u help ? going " dislike short " deletes only 1 at a
