The only reason I haven’t tried one of these cups is purely because I know I’d 100% spill it trying to remove it 😭😭😭 murder scene in the public restroom

I would absolutely bleed all over the floor waiting to wash my cup. I just pour blood out. Is that normal? Lol

Wait guys as someone who’s never used a cup b4, what about in public restrooms. Do you empty the cup in the cubicle and then WALK OUT and wash the cup at the common sinks?!

"You're very unlikely to ruin the floor in the ten second it takes to wash and reinsert your cup"
Me: *laughs in heavy flow*

As someone that has a very heavy flow, the cup is a game changer👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I can’t go back to a pad and tampon now

I'll stick to the pads because I'm too terrified of using these cups or tampons 😭 I never wanna stick anything down there

I was trying this wiggle and pull down technique but my cup was too thick and I couldn't get a grip on it and it would slip out and move bach up.. I used to spend 45 minutes exhausted in the bathroom trying to take it out. Then I bought a cup with a different stem and less thick and I'm living my best life

To all the people who, like me, have been trying with cups for literal years and are not getting anywhere: you are not alone.
Everyone tells you that you're just not doing in right, that you just have to learn how to use them, keep practicing...!
But it is entirely possible that you're doing everything right and
- getting them in still hurts. Yes, even when you fold them up tiny.
- the suction seal breaks when you move, sneeze, cough, laugh, do whatever. It is possible for your cervix to be curved in such a way that the cup is randomly compressed and dislodged.
- getting them out is impossible without folding them up exactly as tiny as you did when putting them in, naturally ending in a bloody mess all over your hand
- getting them out hurts like hell.

Cups are not made for every anatomy. They do not work with every anatomy and there's nothing you can do right/wrong to change that.

The anatomy shown in the video, with a nice, straight, consistently wide tunnel is absolutely unrealistic.

I think it would be more accurate if the opening of your cube needs to be less wide than the rest of the hole..

For me it is very easy and mess free to remove the menstrual cup. I take it out in the toilet, dump it and wash it then and there and wash myself too. I'm indian so mostly we use those hand bidet spray(i hope that's what it's called) instead of toilet paper, so my period doesn't really get messy.

I'm just happy that the things you use to represent blood are actually red and look at least a bit like blood

I've found that pushing with my pelvis helps prevent it from scooching back up if you can't remove it in one go. Trying to break the seal also really helps

note to self: if u ever see that little worm thing on a counter, DO NOT TOUCH IT

Oh my gosh this is amazing and so helpful. I'm on my first legit heavy period since having my baby and i haven't had a period or used a menstrual cup in over 2 years (conception control then pregnancy and birth) so I'm a little out of practice

Before wiggling, I squeeze the bottom of the cup first so it breaks the seal of the rim of the cup, that way it won't pull on your insides.

I read a scientific article which said that pulling like this many many times may increase a risk of pelvic prolapse.
