Edit: I tried it (in the changing rooms of the shop) snuck in a fork in my pocket that I stole from a café next door. Spent a suspicious amount of minutes in there tryna take the tag off, didn’t work.

It worked to a certain extent. I just loosened that pin a bit, and came with my multitool and cut the pin.

You do realize with the other security tags in the background you use a 200 pull magnet and they come off smoothly I’ve done this before and it works

Rubber bands work too. Start by wrapping the band in between the two pieces and then start twisting the two sensor pieces and it will wind up the band and the pressure will start to push the two pieces of the sensor apart.

Bought a pair of sneakers online. But the merchant left the tag on. Used the fork method and didn't even need to use two forks. Thanks for posting

I’ve done it multiple times using a lighter and knife. Use the lighter to heat the little circle bubbled out part of the tag then it should belt off cause it’s hollow inside. After that it exposes the pin & you can just grab that with your fingers and the alarm doesn’t go off & neither did any of the ink.
