You make it sound so simple. This is actually a VERY invasive procedure that should ONLY be done as a last resort. It’s incredibly painful, violating and potentially dangerous.

This happened to my mom. Except the doctor didn't tell her at all and he just shoved his whole hand inside her without any warning and she said it was so traumatizing. She only did home births with female nurse midwives with the rest of her children.

What he didnt mention is the pain, my brothers girlfriend had them ask if she wanted them to manually get the baby out and they didnt explain what they were gonna do and she said she was sceaming in pain the whole time, i felt really bad for her
