Cooking rice with chicken stock cubes is a really easy way to add authentic and delicious flavor to your rice with only few ingredients. You can use chicken stock cubes or any other bouillon cubes or broth granules. It works great with white or brown rice and makes fluffy, tender, and tasty rice, great for a side dish or as a meal on its own.

How To Cook Rice With Chicken Stock Cubes:

1. Put 2 cups of water in the pot and bring it to boil.
While slightly simmering, add the chicken stock cube to the water and wait till it dissolves. (You can also use a vegetable stock cube or any flavor bullion cubes).

2. Rinse your rice under cool water by placing it in a strainer and running it under your faucet, and then add it to the water.

3. Once the rice starts to boil, turn the heat down to low, and cover the pot with a lid. You'll want to simmer it for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and fluffy and most of the chicken broth is absorbed into the rice. (When cooking brown rice, give it about 35 minutes).

4. Once the rice is tender, remove it from the heat and let it stay for five to ten minutes so that the rice would absorb all the remaining chicken broth. Then, stir it up with the fork and serve.

Different brand stock cubes like Knorr, Maggi, or OXO have slightly different strengths. As most stock cubes are quite salty, I would recommend using just one bouillon cube for one cup of rice.

I make rice like this all the time. 1x rice, 2x water in non-stick pot, preferably.
Bring water to a boil, add cube. 1:49
When dissolved, add rice and return to boil. No need to wash most rice.
Cover and turn heat down to medium low.
Cook for 17 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool down about 5 minutes. I add a pat of butter for flavour.
Stir rice with fork and serve.
