400 g rice, rinse, salt / pepper, + 600ml water. Cover boil, then simmer 8-10 minutes.

I tried this recipe and I swear to you, I now can say that I am not sure whether I prefer mashed potatoes or this - because this is not just good - it is truly phenomenal rice. It's easy to make, foolproof, quick and a truly delicious side dish. Do yourself a favor, give this a try.
