How to make walking easier with hip arthritis- 3 WAYS

Walking can feel good again 👏🏼

In order to do so, there are a few things you need to do so you can get started on enjoying walking again ✅

1️⃣ Warm up is KEY. Walking requires a certain degree of range of motion from the hip, so if they are feeling tight- walking is likely going to feel difficult ☝🏽Sideways and backwards movements work key range of motion.

2️⃣ Feet and ankles are commonly forgotten! They are your first point of contact with the ground so make sure they are warmed up too- especially if you have ankle arthritis or stiff feet/toes 🦶

3️⃣ Stopping and taking a quick break to move your hips can be a great way to activate other muscles and reduce the stress to the hip joint ☝🏽

It is so important to take care of your hips to enjoy walking again. With hip arthritis, walking can become one of the most difficult tasks.

I get bursitis which is quite painful and since one side hurts more at times my gait has been affected. I think these things are related to weak abs. But why I get bursitis idk…Would love some solutions for that. I live with pain.
