Having taken Bible classes at the undergraduate level and at the graduate level with Dr. Norman Geisler, I'd suggest that fellow Christians avoid preaching/teaching ministries that emphasize systematic theology over biblical theology. That is, sit under pastor-teachers who defer to the inspired biblical writers in the context of their own words. Choose biblical theology over systematic theology. Proof-texting is the best evidence of theology you should avoid. Thanks for this analysis, Dr. Flowers.

Still waiting to be able to buy my heresy button. I’m not sure if I should use it while I’m teaching at my church, but I’m going to use it while teaching at my church.

Good illustration concerning Pelagius. I’m going to start calling ‘Arson’ a ‘Leighton Flowers’ too. The man is on fire 🔥! Burning down bad teaching wherever he finds it.

Mike Winger's stance on TULIP- There is only one point, regeneration precedes faith.

If Calvin didn't exactly know for sure whether he was one of the elect or not, would it follow according to his writings on Total Depravity that his own works could be 'totally depraved' themselves?

I realize that as much as I want to ask, "why can't we just stop complicating the simple message of Salvation Jesus gave us", it's simply never going to happen because the enemy is at work polluting the minds of Believers. But our Lord Jesus didn't intend this to be like rocket science. The Gospel is very clear. So sad to see the division.

I discovered Voddie when CRT went nuts last year and loved his stand against Marxism. However, I later heard his statements about infants, such as “that’s not a little angel, that’s a viper in a diaper” and can no longer listen to him. I know those statements come out of his Calvinism, but such a statement is so opposed to Christ’s statements about children, it’s rather shocking.

Wow. Spectacular video from start to finish. No Internet electrons were abused, tortured or wasted in the making of this video.

Thank you both much for all the great analogies! There can never be too many for me. I find it one of the most effective ways to gain understanding.

As it was said in my childhood neighborhood,
Mr. Warren is “off the chain” 😄

I love Voddie's teachings until he smuggles Calvinism into his talk.

May you fully recover Voddie in Jesus Name.

At around 1:38-139 Voddie speaks of the differences in the handling of the Gospel and Prayer. Often I have heard? why does all of this topic (reformed/calvinism) matter 'we are all biblical'? However if a theology affects what the Gospel message is, or how to pray, it is a fundamental issue. Leighton and/or Warren would love to hear you discuss or show examples of how the Gospel and Prayer IS different for the reformer vs non.

A thought just occurred to me. Is the TULIP is an idol for Calvinists?

I find it deeply troubling that a system based on Augustine, Luther and Calvin who denied certain books of the Bible, who decided on their own, outside of scripture, how it should be interpreted and who used violence to enforce their version of the Bible is the very same system so many are teaching and believing today. How can a system be considered Christian (follower of Christ) when it teaches what is contrary to the work and character of Jesus Christ and God’s Word? When I listen to Calvinists argue for Calvinism, I hear the vain philosophy of men with some proof texts thrown in to try to legitimize their position. The very fact that they have to quote from Augustine, Calvin and whatever confessions they hold to for their beliefs tells me that scripture is not their authority even though they may claim it is. Christianity is a relationship and obedience to Christ as Lord and ruler of the kingdom of God. So much of Calvinism is based on Gnosticism and I pray that those seeking salvation and a true relationship with Jesus the Christ will turn to the Scriptures alone and away from the man made religion of Calvinism.

1:42:30 The Bible says in Jas.5 "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Calvinism says... "not so much"

In addition to this and as a criticism of people, it should be said that in 5% of cases you will see a Calvinist genuinely concerned about helping you or giving you hope and about lost souls. Generally when you see and hear them, they are just attacking, talking to you about God's anger and hatred, his predestination not only in soteorology terms, etc. (Does the doctrine of predestination matter more than the gospel? Really?) And showing when they know more about the Bible than you (Does that glorify God?), Others smoke and as a medical student I know that it very likely ends in cancer and doing all kinds of harm (but they say they smoke for the glory of God), dying of cancer from smoking glorifies God?, leaving a family without a father because of cancer for smoking glorifies God? Are we not a temple and he asks us to take care of him? I really don't understand Calvinist logic.
