This was the hardest part of learning to ride for me so I thought a good video would help everybody. New riders need help too!

This is the hardest part of learning to ride a bike. The clutch. It's different for almost every bike. So you gotta get a feel for the clutch setup of your bike. It's even harder on a hill.

I did my training yesterday. I had difficulty with the clutch. My instructor said i was unique in how bad i was. I think he was just making fun of me. Once he left me alone I started and stopped about 300 times to get the hang of it. Had 4 hours of practicing it as well as counter steering and cornering and had no problems.

Man thank you for this clean explanation you just gave me because I'm a new rider and I've been struggling a little bit with clutch control from taking off

Really appreciate your efforts in demonstrating the use of the clutch in a very methodical way. Thanks a lot.

Great video your a good instructor. I stalled out in class like 3 times until I figured it out. I am still amp to learn how to ride, I have to teach myself and take the msc again. Thanks for videos like this - yours is very helpful.

1:10 happens to the best of us! I’ve been riding for longer than I care to mention and even today happened to me at the light when I thought it was in neutral and I wanted to give my clutch hand a rest. Don’t let stalling discourage you! Happens to everybody even if they won’t admit it outright!

Fantastic video. Very well explained. I have had a hard time finding a good video explaining this very concept. Just purchased an Iron 883 and was having these problems. Kept stalling at first. I love the quote "the clutch is everything" I already feel so much more confident and I havn't even hoped on the bike yet. Thank you!

It is interesting how bikes are different. I practiced on a Harley street 500 and I was able to let the clutch out faster and the bike would go but it would be jerky. I could not do that with the 883. I thought that once you got into the friction zone and applied gas, you were good to go. I believe I have been letting the clutch out immediately after finding the friction zone.

Its nice to see I am not the only one who experienced difficulty in this department. Thanks again for posting this video. This information will save lives!

Man I am at that stage where it stalls when I start. Shifting while it's moving isn't an issue. Thanks so much for the tips

I bought today my first manual bike and it was a real adventure :). I only ride automatic Scooters before but now i have to shift gears and use the clutch. I need a lot of practice before i drive on a normal street thats for sure
