Unscripted video, but I hope to have helped someone just a bit! :)) (the fever I have is most likely a vaccine symptom, so no need to worry about that)

The background music:
-Atrium Carceri - Intro, menu
-OMORI OST 016 - A Place By A Lake
-OMORI OST 113 - Chemistry On and On

Fear of needles was something I had when I was younger and still I feel extremely nervous when taking those, but it still is extremely uncomfortable for me to take. It's good to take the vaccine if just possible, big props to those who made them through when fearing needles a lot!! <3

I have been scared of needles as well, but I've started to overcome that fear, and mostly because I think of what would happen if I didn't get it, or that in the future I'll just be looking back thinking why was I so scared. In the actual moment/right before you get a vaccine, my doctor has told me to slap my arm (where you're getting it) so that it's almost more numb in a way. If that doesn't help then what I also did was read something out loud as your getting it since it keeps your mind concentrated on the reading. Just a few tips that work for me!

I have a phobia of needles, and for me it's not the pain, its just the thought of a needle going into my skin that freaks me out. I end up crying every time and I've gotten shots since I was 4, so... yeah. For me it helps to squeeze something and look away.

I'm watching this on my way to get my blood drawn and as someone who has intense anxiety over needles this has helped calm me down so much

Oh gosh, I feel so sorry for you!
Sadly I can't relate to that, since I am one of those strange beings, that's satisfied with seeing the needle getti g stung inside the arm...
But I am really glad to hear that you've overcome your fear of needles :3

I completely understand the whole needle fear thing. I've always had a fear of needles but my mother always made sure I get my vaccines or blood tests as she wants me to be as healthy as I can. A week or so ago I got my first Covid vaccine with my own consent because I am 16 and 16-17's vaccine exists in the UK. It took me 20 minutes but I eventually got it and these nurses were so nice and understanding especially due to my Autism compared to previous nurses who got tired and rolled their eyes. I didn't cry that time and my family was so proud as I always cry when getting a needle, I got a brown sweater, a necklace and a McDonald's cheeseburger with extra gherkins as a reward and a day off school the next day (Got it on a Thursday so 3 day weekend pog). I just wanna say I'm proud of you for getting these vaccines as they lower your chance of getting hospitalised/dying (Don't use me as a source, it was my understanding of the leaflet) and please take care of yourself! The side effects aren't fun-

I totally get this, I'm terrified of needles too- I just can't handle pain, even when I know its not gonna be too bad and it'll be quick.

This video is gonna be fun. I get lightheaded and began to cry from just hearing the word “needle.”

Fellow needle phobic in her 20's here, who's avoided blood work for years and years despite having chronic illnesses that weren't diagnosable without them. This was so reassuring to hear... Thankyou northflowo 😭💕

As someone who has had a crippling fear of needles all her life, the tips given here are exactly what I tell myself. I am still terrified even up to the point of it, but its important to know that the people who do this for a living are trustworthy people, and vaccines and anesthesia are good things, no matter how scary it may seem. Communicate your concerns with the doctor or pharmacist ahead of time. They know what they are doing and will help you through it. You will feel so much better after its all over, I promise. Be proud of yourself for taking the steps, because it may seem small to others, but it is big to you, and its important to recognize that.

Thank you for putting this out there, I don't think people talk enough about this phobia and its good to know I'm not the only one.

Pro tip: bring someone you hate, it'll still hurt a tiny bit but you'll be too busy hating the person and trying to show you're not weak that you don't mind.

I do have that fear, and I honestly have a fear of it all. When I was younger I didn’t notice it as much, but now that things are processing easier now, I get panic attacks about that stuff. The dentist is probably my worst fear, because whenever I have to get work done other than a cleaning, I won’t let them do it because of my fear

When I was little my health was all over the place. So my parents were always at the hospital with me. And the doctors were always giving me needle related medicines. So -even tho I'm still nervous- I over come my fear of needles by experience ig.
