I’m 72. I’ve done mostly passive hanging for at least one minute every day for the last 8 months. The best result for me is elimination of back aches and improved posture.

I decided to fix periformis after years of worsening pain and a desire to stop taking pain medication. My daily hanging routine has fixed my bulging disk and strengthened my core. I am pain-free after 30 years of suffering. I am now striving to be the sexy grandpa with the body I always wanted because of the new strength I gain from my long hangs. Hanging rocks.

On my first job after leaving high school was a wool grader. I injured back then without hesitation I walked to my old Elementary school and hanged upside down on the jungle gym which worked. Within 2 weeks I was fine.

Would using grip assists be counterproductive or beneficial? I know I'd be losing out on the added benefit of increasing grip strength, but when grip starts to go, I start tensing up in my forearms, neck, and back.
