A great tip for approaching shy girls is to approach her friends while she's around or approach her in a group. You could bring either other girl pals or boy pals and approach her in her group. That'll make both of you more comfortable but you can go at it alone also if you can blend in that group. That way she'll feel more safe in a group environment to get to know you. There's no pressure on her of any kind but she can be around you. Build her confidence and trust in those group settings. & Then slowly take it to smaller groups and then alone. I like slow and patient guys who have a lot of confidence. I think it’s because I’m shy and those are the only guys who know it’s worth taking some time to talk to me until the real me comes out. They usually seem very happy when that happens. Some just don’t stick around long enough or don’t seem trustworthy enough for me to feel relaxed enough to be myself. I’m used to masking as well and so it takes a lot of dating to find men I can open up to. Calm and confident is a good match.

If a girl has a particular rude behaviour that is not her usual behaviour, then sometimes if means she's atleast interested in you and almost really likes you. For example, if she avoids only you, if she doesn't text only you, if she hides only from you, not others, then she may be interested.
How you'll know she doesn't hate you, is if in every other way with you, she seems responsive. She may avoid you, but whenever she does manage to talk to you or hang around you, she smiles, she listens, she has a slightly open aura overall.

How do I know the difference between shy and interested vs shy and just being nice? I see signs for both.

She agrees to meet up for drinks/dinner, she dressed VERY nice for it. Great chemistry. Then randomly takes long periods to reply to messages. Says shes happy being single but flirts heavy in text, unless conversation starts to get too personal she seems to back off. I've been kind yet assertive about my interest and queries into hers.... but still honestly feel it could go 50/50
