Ever see someone with rounded shoulders? Rounded shoulders happen when then the ribcage gets stuck in the “crunched position”. The crunched position can reduce shoulder mobility.

If you want to change the rounded shoulders and improve mobility you need to reduce the crunch.
Getting muscles on the front of the body to relax reduces the crunched position.Prone breathing is my favorite way to do this.

I fixed my posture by lifting with proper form and being more aware of how I’m sitting and standing. I learned how to open my chest and every time I thought about it I did it and held it there. Proper alignment is now comfy for me and I never thought that was even possible.

my posture sucks and ive been increasingly getting more and more back pain so this actually gets my hopes up that i can improve it myself easily

Stretch abdominals first cause they pull chest down, take good breath hold at apex your chest will rise where it could be, when you change posture be careful with deltoids and rotator cause your changing everything so fast they're slow to accommodate the changes ( be mindful).open chest priority 1

I used to have good posture. But because I am a woman and I have large boobs, i was always told "stop sticking out your chest!" "Youre just trying to make your boobs look bigger"
Literally had the good posture bullied out of me

That position is also a result of working at a computer console for decades... wall pushups can even be done at a job site, as long as there is an unblocked solid piece of wall...

Facepulls did wonders for me. But generally just work out and your posture will improve itself

I just did it by standing straight every chance I get for a month straight and I plan on keeping it up for the rest of my natural life. I used to work standing up for 10 hours a day, so it was easy. Now I'm just used to standing up straight.

I found deadlifts and pushups probably helped me the most - my issue was my core muscles were too weak.

My method for fixing posture is just sticking my chin out. It felt like i was looking up slightly, but it turns out that i was looking straight ahead. The only problem was trying to remember to do it since im used to looking down.

or just stand up straight and roll your shoulders back, chest out, stomach in (military drill instructor says this without even needing to engage his brain) think about your posture for a few days and your muscle memory will gradually take over.

I needed this. Thanks. I notice when I move from that slouched position into a more straight standing posture, blood starts to rush to my head, and I feel like I can breathe deeper.

Various pushup types, good posture and proprioception, a sense of self-worth, or ‘cat-cow’ also help
