There are many Qigong traditions, practices, and exercises. They are all great – like having a variety of tools in your toolbox, they all have their use.

Some practices can be very detailed, with plenty of ‘rules’ to follow, and others can be simple – much like this exercise!

This Qigong exercise is called “Guiding the Qi through the Microcosmic Orbit”
… and it can be practiced by anyone, anytime of the day, for 5 minutes or even 45+ minutes. It is generally safe as long as you listen to your body, and move gently.

The idea is that by breathing and moving the body as described in the video we direct the Qi to naturally move through the Microcosmic Orbit.

This is a ‘channel’ that flows through the nose, down the center of the body to the lower belly, through the legs, up the spine, around the head, and back down to the nose.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong – when we move the Qi through this orbit, we create excellent root health, put our mind into a calm, peaceful state, and create ‘vitality!’

It is easy to do, and actually very ‘instinctive.’

I'm Jeffrey Chand, an acupuncturist, practitioner of Traditional Chinese medicine, and Qigong instructor.

I am incredibly passionate about sharing simple Qigong practices because I have directly witnessed how helpful it can be for a variety of health issues, prevention, emotional/mental health, and even spiritual health.

The style that I try to present is simple but effective, because it is based on several Qigong traditions, clinical experience, physical therapy, traditional and modern medicine, and from working with many people from a variety of backgrounds.

This style can be practiced if you are an absolute beginner and if you already have experience in Qigong or Tai Chi.

Thank you so much, I have many chronic issues, including high blood pressure and diabetes. I've been on a fitness journey for 2 years, and I had no weight loss, no improvements in my conditions, even though I worked really hard. I found your videos on accident, and I tried it. I do this breath while I am laying in bed to sleep peacefully (with out the hands) just my minds eye watching the energy flow up and down with each breath …as always you are awesome….AUM

This is a beautiful and simple technique. Had a solar plexus issue over the last few days. When I did this…..I saw my “yellow garden” bloom…many small tulips at first, then larger hibiscus. Thank you for being an instrument of the Divine 🙏🏽

On a side note, you have a beautiful emerald green aura in this video. Just beautiful 💚
