In this video I talk about how to improve night vision. Your eyes are composed of cone and rod shaped photoreceptors and understanding how these sensory inputs receivers work can help you improve your vision at night.

Wow Mark, thank you so much! This video in combination with your other “The #1 Tip to Improve Eye Sight Naturally “ video has led me to another realisation. I’ve been following your Basic and Advanced journey guides which have been great and slowly reducing my prescription, but it reached to a point a while back where my progress was plateauing. You spoke about awareness many times, and as a dancer myself I knew the importance of having a strong sense of body awareness in order to acquire skills much more efficiently and effectively. However, this whole time I think I didn’t have a good sense of that when it came to how my eyes are working internally. The section in the video about the cones and rods and how they are distributed led me to look into this more, and looking at diagrams of the eye anatomy has helped with my visualisation of what’s happening inside my eyes when I actually am aware of my peripheral vs I’m in tunnel vision mode. As a result of this, I suddenly have so much more control over clearing up my vision and can achieve this so much quicker as now I’m actually “feeling” what’s happening inside my eyes and how to use the system as a whole rather than straining only the central vision (your big muscle vs small muscles analogy was perfect for this). Prior to this, I was doing the rocking side by side technique pretty much blindly (no pun intended) waiting for it to eventually happen (which it did, but sometimes took quite long and was frustrating at times). This feels like a bit of an abstract concept at first, but once you get it, it makes so much sense! In the last couple of days since this realisation, I have progressed quite a bit already and I’m so excited to keep up this pace! Thanks again for these amazing videos😄😄

This feels like I’ve unlocked a way to see. I can actually moves my eyes around more freely like I’m using more of my eye it’s so strange. I can’t believe I’ve been this way for so long.

I have a theory why this helps so much is because it’s essentially teaching us how to focus our peripheral vision. Some how some way we forgot or our body forgot how to focus properly and it became a habit just like terrible posture. I’m noticing significant differences very fast it’s so strange. It feels like I’m using my peripheral vision mainly and my central only for small the things !

Viewing screens in the dark/night is a major issue for the following reasons (non exhaustive list from personal experience):
- Tunnel vision
- Poor sense of depth because the periphery is less noticeable
- Screens are light sources which eyes are not used to looking at for long periods without breaks especially in the dark because eyes do best when looking at reflected light not sources of light
- Disturbs sleep
- Strained vision because the peripheral field of view is hard to notice because of the contrast

(Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Great video Mark, very insightful.

Have anyone been noticing any physical changes in the structure of your iris, or any other viewable parts of the eyes? I just have this feeling that when I practice in sunlight or darkness, things are reshaping and restructure. Listening to this video and trying to understand more about the cones and rods, it made me think; when the eyes are challenged, parts like the eyeball and iris might change shape and color. This is just a thought that are based on a feeling I been having looking into my own eyes through out the journey. Wanted to see if you Mark, or anyone else know anything about it? Huge thanks to you Mark for everything you do. Like everyone else here - my eyes are stronger and better thanks to you.

Hey Mark, with your videos and free course, I'm seeing huge improvement over 2 weeks now that I started this journey. Huge thanks to your passion and effort. Past two days I have made most significant improvement which stayed longer so pushing myself further with ciliary release without blinking as long as I can and trying to keep the sharp vision as long as I can, but on top of stingy & watery eyes I've experienced some discomfort on the worst eye as if there's som dirt got into my eye. Have you experience anything similar when you were pushing hard in the beginning of your journey? I hope it's not cornea neuralgia I'm experiencing.

I read somewhere about the processes that occur as our eyes slowly adjust to night conditions. I can't remember what book it was in, and now I'm trying to find a video that explains it. Is this something you could do? I
