Indeed. I was in complete shock to see my Geico bill. I'm accident and ticket free and my rate has almost doubled. I thought at 1st I had someone else's bill. Was told crime has made it higher. Now after 10 years will be leaving them. My rate is now higher than my car payment....for a used car. 😢

The problem is that these body shops are making huge profits in repairing a vehicle. Using cheap parts and not using OEM parts.

I was charged $1200 with a six month coverage for a 2008 Ford focus. 60 year old. Zero ticket or accident for the last ten years. Liability coverage only. That's not counting the other vehicles and home coverage.

My insurance went way up for my Tesla Model 3 and now im forced to sell it cause im not going to pay like almost double the amount it went up too smh i was paying $190 a month and now it went up to $371??? Like WTF

Just got off the phone with my insurance company. Our rates just went up. We are in our 60s. Drive little and have a perfect driving record. We almost crapped. We actually heard the rates are going up to pay for all the poor drivers in our area that have so many instead of their rates going through the roof and everyone in THEIR class and hence with keeping them off the road, WE have to pay for them? Yup, that's the new ideology.

I just saw another increase in my insurance from last year, It went from $78 to $93 a month.
A large leap from about $60 I was paying 5 years ago. ( I drive an old Jalopy )

The State makes the insurance laws and they try to protect the consumer. This is a time where protecting the consumer has backfired and now the consumer is feeling it.
