I once knew a young man who had been diagnosed with ASPD. He murdered a girl at 15 and eventually charmed his way out of prison. He had developed a close relationship with my SO and decided he didn't like me for whatever reason. Then, conspired with in a plot to have me murdered. Once an ASPD, always an ASPD!

Dr. Phil....unfortunately you have just described my youngest son. He has done and acted like this for the last 21 yrs. This child was the happy child, but extremely self willed. Discipline was necessary and was implemented not abused. At the age of 12 yrs....something changed. His father who has now passed away, I discovered was a.Narcissist, which explained all of his actions and attitudes. I believe now that his father groomed him. Addiction problems funded by his father unknown by me. Lots of secrets between them.
Saving account almost exhausted by my husband. He was a tight wad, which really surprised me that he gave our son such a large amount of money over a 16 yr. Period. Bank records show the withdrawals. I have cut him off completely and have told him so in a loving way. I refuse to allow home to move in with me as I have been through this before. You can't help these people. I Am a 25 yr vet. Of Alanon and have put. The Principles to good use. Appreciate your candid view and just keep the info coming.

I have a family member who is like this. He almost got me killed last weekend. Enough is enough. We tried to help him, and he cons and manipulates us. I could have died because of his impulsivity. Always the victim never the perpetrator. Very sad.

Since I was a little girl I loved animals more than people, music more than people. . . Being by myself was something that I became used to because my narcissist mom and her Narcissististic adoptive mom were always"in each other's faces"(were clingy to each other I think), and then my narcissististic mom got remarried when I was 5(year before began primary School in South Africa), and when I was eight she had first of two daughters with stepdad and second when I was 15. But I wanted to get away from them and do my own thing which they never allowed : never taught me how to make my life my own (breech of contract as "parents") and tied my loss of income into curator ad Bonis who squandered one million South African Rand of it in twenty year period. . . The South African constitution enables them so they hold my future hostage. . . I want freedom from them so I can live, am 47 years old I turn 48 in September, never been married, relationships don't work because I can't get away from the damage caused to an age appropriate life for me by them. . . Doctor Phil, it's a legal problem to get away from narcissist abuse in South Africa because the corrupt country doesn't actually class psychological abuse as cause of concern or a threat to my life because I survived a Left Frontal lobe brain and skull fracture 24 years ago and the constitution still holding me as a minor which gives those narc😢 narcissististic supply but I don't live in survival mode with them because I refuse to and I won't even let them into the apartment where I stay in survival mode because they are rude and judgmental and controlling and I don't want them to disturb the little bit of peace I do have by not being under their roof. . . I don't know which support group is suitable for me because everything in South Africa feels transactional to me. . .
