I started eating 4-5 large eggs everyday with bacon when I started exercising again. In less than 5 months, I actually fixed every concern my doctor brought up about my blood test and lost 40 pounds.

"Are Eggs The Perfect Food?"
No. Are you kidding? They don't even contain fiber.

I have been eating 2 eggs every day for about 10 years and always thought the hype about eggs not good for you was silly.

The Harvard Nurses' Health Study found that the daily consumption of the amount of cholesterol found in a single egg appeared to cut a woman's life short as much as smoking 25, 000 cigarettes. Following up on that research, a study in the journal Atherosclerosis found that just 3 eggs or more a week was associated with a significant increase in artery-clogging plaque buildup in people's carotid arteries going to their brain, a strong predictor of stroke, heart attack, and death.  In fact you see a similar exponential increase in arterial plaque buildup for smokers and egg-eaters. Those that ate the most eggs had as much as two-thirds the risk of those that smoked the most, the equivalent of a pack-a-day habit for 40 years or more.

In the past i sometimes ate 8-10 whole eggs per day, and that would go on for months and i never had any issues.. I don't have any idea what are the people in the comments talking about.. (8-10 whole eggs, boiled, fried, omlets, even raw eggs in shakes)

I have about 6-8 free-range-pasture-raised eggs a week for the last 1& a half years and have become my staple protein. My doc says my cholesterol (full test) is 100% perfect

There definitely are some good things in eggs, but colesterol is not one of them.

While this DNews segment is true in stating that the consumption of cholesterol does not raise overall serum cholesterol, this news segment does not go far enough. When meta-nalysis has been done, concerning overall cholesterol levels and the rates of heart disease, it has been demonstrated that there isn't a strong correlation between cholesterol rates above 200 -  the rate which doctors have traditional told patients to stay under - and increased incidences of heart attacks. Furthermore, saturated fat, which has been vilified for decades as a major culprit behind heart disease, has now been shown to be fairly innocuous. The only reason why these arbitrary cholesterol targets are still perpetuated is because statin drug manufactures make an obscene amount of money peddling drugs that artificially lower people's cholesterol numbers below these targets. Finally, while LDL is a culprit behind heart disease, not all LDL is the same. Large LDL particles are fairly harmless, and these increase with fat intake. Small LDL particles are the particularly atherogenic type of LDL, which can lead to heart disease. These increase as a result of refined carbohydrate intake, not fat intake. Finally, even with an increased small LDL particle count, one is not guaranteed a heart attack. There still has to be underlying inflammation before the small LDL become atherogenic.

I miss eggs. I grew an intolerance to them a few years ago. They make me sick as hell. My B12 depleted and sent me to the ER. I have to take supplements to make up for it. I wonder if they make alternatives like they do with Milk and other stuff? Then I wonder if they would be any good. Not sure you can rightfully mimic an egg :(

We have a bunch of chickens running around our property, so we definitely eat eggs.  Just cracking one open and putting it in the pan next to a commercially produced egg is enough to convince anyone that there is a huge difference.  The commercial egg's yolk looks anemic next to the free range eggs.  We affectionately refer to them as 'recycled bugs, ' but others might not like that image.

I've been eating eggs for almost 60 years and I take no medication. Eat less Carbs....👍

The only LDL associated with CVD, strokes, and heart attacks is small, dense LDL. And the number one source of small, dense LDL is excessive fructose consumption.

Why do eggs come in dozens? If they came in groups of 14 you could easily have two eggs a day for a week. This dozen business is non-sense.

all i know, i ate 2-4 boiled eggs per day for month and i started having crazy headache in the morning, took me some time to realize it was eggs fault. so i quit eating them and headaches stopped.

I love eggs. Even when I'm sick. I don't get breakfast a lot (just on the weekends), and for some reason, they seems to breakfast only food, except when used in something (cake, stir fry, potato salad, salad). Not that I don't like them in things, but sometimes I just want eggs with pepper and salt for seasoning.

I eat them whole, not because I care or don't care about my health but because i like them that way but my question is, do they loose those nutrients when you fry them or make an omelet and what is the best safest way to eat them?
