Ppl keep saying ..3 to 4 feet not huge...but if u see a 4 foot savannah well fed monitor is still huge...small would be 2 feet and under...my savannah is 3 and a half feet..and he is not full grown..that's still a big lizard..

As some one who has studied Crocodilians I can honestly say should never be kept as a pet. The one thing you missed about them is they are smart, very smart. Nile and Salties are not joke to mess with and even professionals and zoos have problems with them.

There's some, idk discovery Channel or something, show here on yt where these two dudes go around the world subjecting themselves to insect and marine animal stings, and for some reason they decided to endure bites from some bigass monitor in Africa. One of em wasn't so bad, but the other guy got bit and the lizard didn't let go for well over an hour. There was nothing they could do lol. The wounds weren't horrific but I bet the bruising in the following days was super gnarly. I would've just ripped my forearm from its jaws. They pulled the flesh from the backs of their arms out and pissed off the lizards to make them bite. So freakin stupid 😂
