If anything, I’d call ball pythons “cuddly”. We had one in my seventh grade class, and Monty loved nothing more than to relax in our sleeves and soak up our body heat. He was an absolute snuggle bug.

Repeat after me: Don't get your young children a pet if you're unwilling to take care of it if the child lose interest. especially the more fragile ones like the anole. My mom's a teacher and she got multiple students bring her their anole because they bought it cheap on a whim and did not know they had to eat live insects or needed lights and heat.

I had a leopard gecko for 20 years. Unfortunately it passed away last year. One of the best pets I've ever had. Incredibly docile

Awful, true story, with a happy ending: I had to leave my adult leopard gecko with my sister while I worked away from home for 7 months.

She almost never fed it😠😭

However, I carefully started feeding her again. She completely bounced back and lived for another 3 years after that.

Definitely can’t go wrong with a leopard gecko. I’ve had mine for five years now, and it is the best pet I have ever had! He is adorable, very easy to care for, and likes being handled.
