Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Lynk & Co 01 2021

Показать описание
Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

This car shares a platform with the Volvo XC40 (they are from the same group, Geely). Now I understand everything 👍

I love how in the comments people are mad that a chinese car got a better score than their favourite european cars. This car is very safe and you can’t deny that.

edit: to the people who are saying the rollover from the side crash is really unsafe and shouldn’t deserve 96%
1. your just guy on the internet
2. doesn’t matter what happens to the car, as long as the people inside are good then it will get a good rating

I can't believe this is a car made in China. At the same price, it is even safer than Japanese and Korean cars.

It would be helpful if you included the speed of the ABB tests, like you used to do and in both MPH and KPH

Volvo once again proving to be the cornerstone of automotive safety, not even being bought by the Chinese managed to stray them away from their main principle.

Acabo de tener un accidente con el lynk & co.. Coche trasero un coche que no prendo y se estampó a unos 80km.. El coche un Renault scenic quedo casi totalmente destrozado.. Menos mal no hubo heridos.

Lol and I survived crash that was frontal with another car, we both were going around 70kmh. Cars were destroyed. I bended steering wheel with a head even I was belted. Here 50 kmh crash looks scary but it isn't at all.

Euro NCAP does not perform small overlap tests for perhaps good reason. But the result is that car makers like this 'cheap out' by fitting curtain airbags that don't extend far enough forward. Just look at the puny little things. They don't fill in the gap between the front airbag and the corner of the dashboard. This bad news in a small overlap crash. You can bet that this car will get better curtain airbags if it goes through the IIHS tests in the US. So they'll get a safer version of the same car. It's just like Latin America getting less safe versions of cars Europeans drive. Is this the car maker's fault or NCAP's fault, or both? Where else has Link & Co saved money, apart from on somebody to choose a good name?
