Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Ford Puma 2022

The Ford Puma was originally assessed in 2019. The updated car has been reassessed against 2022 protocols, with some 2019 tests carried over where applicable.

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

Will say, got the Puma and has done very well with the AEB, had a kid step out in between 2 busses, reacted quicker than me

La seguridad para el conductor me parece buena solo en los primeros tres impactos, es decir, comparando con otros carros evaluados el Ford puma tiene un desempeño dentro de lo normal (desde mi punto de vista), pero el golpe de poste lateral es el que me preocupa y supongo que por eso la calificación baja, es un área de oportunidad donde debe trabajar Ford en este modelo tan atractivo.

Spiegate perché la Puma perde una stella rispetto al 2019. E soprattutto spiegate perché riprovate lo stesso modello con gli stessi criteri eccezion fatta per l’urto frontale sinistro che non è contro barriera fissa bensì mobile. Secondo me siete poco seri.

Garbage car.
Few days ago near where I live there was a deadly car crash (full head-on collision) between a 2022 Ford Puma and a 2006 BMW E90 320i.
The Puma driver was sadly declared dead on the spot, the E90 driver suffered severe injuries but survived the crash.
