Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

Really impressed with the safety assist stuff, did a great job. Good on you Jeep. Just wish the car looked as muscular as it used to. Soft edges don't work on a Grand Cherokee IMO. I might change my mind if they release the SRT again lol.

Very impressive AEB system. I think the heaviest, therefore the most dangerous new cars, should have excellent AEB systems to try and stop them crashing into more vulnerable vehicles.
Disappointing to see a centre airbag isn't standard at this price range though.

5 stars but 84 % for adult occupant …😏 still not so good for such a big car . Many people said : I take an SUV because i’m safety in it …I don’t know if a Jeep would be meet a Volvo XC 90 or something with the same size from Audi, Mercedes or BMW, what would be happen ?

I ended up with one of these Behemoths. Was always nervous about how it would fair in a test given the results of pretty much everything else they sell! Surprised to see a half decent result for once.

Also, I don't know how they got the lane keep assistance to work because it simply doesn't in mine. It's a colossal failure.

The Automatic emergency breaking doesnt seem to be working on mine. Ofcourse havent tried it as i doubt it will work. Coz even if bring the car too close to the car in front i dont get any warnings. forward collision warning seems to be not working. Its all turned on in the U connect system. Is it a known issue for Jeeo GC. Mine is GC 2023
